To All of Our Supporters,
Listed below is an update on the Foundation’s activities since our last report.
We’d like to thank all of you who supported the 2024 Jeff Musser Foundation Golf Classic on June 17 with your attendance, your sponsorships and or your donations. We had another great weather day with sunny skies, and it was a pleasure to see so many of you for golf at Lancaster Country Club and French Creek. After 196 people played golf on both courses, we were joined by additional supporters and friends who attended the Social Hour, Live Auction and, most importantly, to hear a family speak about what the Foundation has meant to them.
The first half of 2024 is nearing an end and we’re keeping pace with the record number of families referred to us during the first six months of the year but our spending for these families has increased over last year. As always, some of this year’s families are older referrals from last or previous years and some of them are new to us. There doesn’t seem to be any lessening in the number of families in our area who need help paying their rent or mortgage, their utility bills, auto loan payments or auto insurance. While the previously mentioned expenditures are the norm for the Foundation, this year we’ve also funded a septic pump replacement, a heating system replacement, an air conditioning system replacement for another family, heating oil deliveries, turnpike toll charges for travel to CHOP, and supplied an auto purchase downpayment and purchased an auto for another family. We’re confident we can keep pace with the requests we receive from our social work partners because of your unceasing generosity. We can’t thank you enough because none of what we do is possible without you!
We’re pleased to announce that the Foundation will be holding our annual Cadillac Dinner at Lancaster Country Club on Friday, September 6, 2024. You’ll be receiving an email containing more information about the event in several weeks. We hope to see many of you there so we can thank you, in person, for your continued assistance with our mission!
